Art has been a big part of Vicki’s life since childhood. She has always enjoyed drawing and painting. In 2004 she was introduced to gourd art, promptly joined a group of fellow gourd artists, and became obsessively focused on this art form.

“I’ve use countless techniques on my gourds; carving, burning/pyrography, painting, embellishing, weaving and sculpting. My goal with gourd art is to take a beautiful, natural gourd and imagine all the possibilities it could evolve into.”

My art medium is gourds. Each piece is unique, which may include wood burning, carving, sculpting with clay, painting with alcohol inks or acrylics.

Nature inspires me the most which includes all living things.
