As an avid creative at heart, I think that creative expression is a vital part of living a joyful life. I believe everyone is creative even if they don't know it yet! I embrace creativity in all forms and this has led to my passion for mixed media art. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Arizona State University and currently teach full-time. My artwork explores themes of human emotion and experiences through the use of floral symbolism. I view flowers as an apt representation of human beauty and resilience, with a language of their own. My stylized
depictions of flora, along with abstract elements, convey my ideas while drawing attention to color, form, and overall mood. My work incorporates repurposed maps, which allow me to explore concepts of self-discovery and the journey of life. Maps also serve as a mode to explore ideas related to history, time, and location. I hope that my art draws in people who resonate with it and that it sparks energy and joy inside their hearts.

My artwork can be described as vibrant, dynamic florals and abstract representations, painted on repurposed maps.

My inspiration comes from life itself. I am inspired to create because of the vibrant world that we all share. I am called to record rich color combinations, complex human emotions, and to rejoice in the calm of creating. I find great inspiration from flowers and nature. Floriography, the language of flowers, is a keen interest of mine. I am also inspired by ephemera, poetry, and folklore. I value art as an outlet for personal expression, stress relief, and mindfulness. I often work with mixed media and enjoy the experimental aspect of playing with multiple mediums. I am inspired by letting creativity flow freely in my life.
